Action, intrigue, and romance to swoon for!

With graduation just weeks away, guardian trainee Violet Fairdale is determined to claim the top spot in her class. But first, she'll have to survive her final assignment--and the guy she's been forced to partner with.

Her confusing feelings for Ryn aren't the only thing making life difficult, though. With enchanted storms wreaking havoc in the fae realm, a murder within the Guild, and an Unseelie prince still determined to possess Vi's special magic, graduation is about to become the least of her problems.

Perfect for fans of The Mortal Instruments, The Iron Fey, and Graceling.

The Faerie Prince Creepy Hollow Book 2 edition by Rachel Morgan Children eBooks

HORRIBLE ENDING.

There are a few types of main character traits that I hate in books. A very very stupid main character is one of them and high on my list of huge turn offs.

Oh. My. God.

This last book sealed the fate of the rest of the series for me and I will not be reading any more of these books.

Violet falls for a trick. She should have told her superiors, but doesn't. She tells her boyfriend and he warns her but she talks him out of helping her.
In the end, her absolute stupidity has her lose everything.....And I mean everything. All the guilds are burned to the ground. All the homes are burned to the ground. Many people are dead and it is all Violets fault.

Her pet is gone. The eternity necklace is gone. Her boyfriend is gone and it's all her fault for making a very big mistake and an incredibly stupid move.

I HATE stupid characters.

So, everything is so horrible she decides to take the forget drug now? She wakes up and doesn't remember anything except her name. Gee, she's also a coward.

Why should I pay for more books, so I can slowly read how this insane girl gets all of her things back one by one when she doesn't deserve them?

I'm not.

The Faerie Prince Creepy Hollow Book 2 edition by Rachel Morgan Children eBooks Reviews

This book picks up with Violet coming to terms with Nate’s betrayal at the end of book 1. She must shift through her feelings of doubt and anger, and worry about being a target of the Unseelie Court. And as comes naturally to her, Violet embraces her snarky disposition to move toward her ultimate goal graduating at the top of her class. Now only one thing stands in the way of that goal, Ryn. Partnering undercover with Ryn brings about new challenges for the recently reformed duo and whose growing friendship is a highlight in the story.

Violet and Ryn’s relationship had become one of my favorites. Their snappy banter alone will hold a place in my heart forever. They are not afraid to be angry with another, or silly, or kind. They acknowledge their shared history, the pain and frustration they’ve caused each other and are actively work on growing up and moving forward. They must trust each other while on assignment, not only to make it to graduation but to survive. Their relationship is so well crafted it becomes enviable; you desperately want their dynamic to be reflected in your own life.

We see Violet’s resilience in this story. She not only has to face Nate’s betrayal, but she had to face her complicated past with Ryn, and confront the pain from the loss of her parents. Violet’s past and present are embedded with her own doubt and loss, but she refuses to let them weigh her down or hold her back. As she says to Zinnia, “Most of the time I try not to think about all the things that hurt; that probably has a lot more to do with weakness than strength.” She doesn’t even recognize this as one of her greatest strengths, and that make Violet both admirable and inspiring, and becomes devastating when you see her meet her threshold.
This is more of a YA fantasy series because the main characters are young. However, adults will also enjoy reading this series. The portrayal of each character evolves with expertise as does the plot line.
I was a little taken aback by the sudden death of human characters at the hand of the fae, but the details of violence are minimal.
Although this is the 3rd book in the series, I didn't feel as if I didn't understand any part of the book. The author does an excellent job of referring to past events without an overload of dumping information.
There are curse words, minor typos, and strong attraction between characters, but no sex.
I enjoy the author's style, but the book ends on a cliffhanger, which I strongly dislike. However, I will look for other books by this author that are not part of a cliffhanger series. Author Felicia Mires
This installment was even better than the first. Action-packed with a swoon-worthy romance. If you were unsure about the romance in book 1, you will not be disappointed here! Still reeling from Nate’s betrayal and graduation approaching, Vi is so close to her goal of becoming a guardian. She has one more task to complete and she has to work with Ryn as her partner. I loved seeing Vi’s relationship develop with Ryn- the dialogue was great and we got to see an antagonistic relationship develop into..something more. We also get to see more of Vi’s world in this book with a trip to the Seelie court as well as learn about Vi’s true motivations for wanting to be the top of her class and win this trip. The book also ends with a HUGE cliffhanger and I could not wait to purchase the third.

What I love about this series is that while the main plot seems to be about Violet’s guardian training and graduation from the Guild, Morgan expertly creates a story about something much bigger than Violet and her school. There is this overarching story about the fate of her world and the faerie relations in it. Vi also goes through an incredible transformation through these first two books, and hits a low at the end of book 2. I was blown away by some of the twists and turns throughout this book. It was an exciting ride!

Swoon. Sorry, slight spoiler alert if you haven't read the first book.

This is my very favorite type of story, where the two people start out in conflict and have to work though it - because it means I get to fall in love right along with them. It surprised me that I so easily switched my loyalty from the first book, because I usually resent that kind of thing.

Strong characters, great story and character development - even though it deals with magic, I never had any "give me a break" moments, the characters stay true to character. Read this whole series, and anything else the author writes. I'm a HUGE fan.
